Album
I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings is a live album by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 12 November 2001 in the UK by Parlophone and a day later in the US by Capitol Records. Recorded during Radiohead's 2001 tour, it comprises songs from their fourth and fifth albums Kid A 2000 and Amnesiac 2001, plus True Love Waits, which was not released on a studio album until A Moon Shaped Pool in 2016. It also includes a performance of the electronic track Like Spinning Plates rearranged as a. I Might Be Wrong, named after the song of the same name, is the first and only live album the band has recorded up to this point. The performances occurred as a part of the bands 2001 tour throughout Europe in support of Kid A and Amnesiac. The record is mostly notable for being its piano version of Like Spinning Plates , wildly different from the album version, and for the first version of True Love Waits , an old fan favourite song that was only released in a studio-capacity much later, on A Moon Shaped Pool, and with very different arrangements. Radiohead - Morning Bell. I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings is a 2001 live album by the English rock band Radiohead. It consists of live performances of eight songs recorded on Radiohead's tour of Europe and North America. Seven of the songs are taken from their albums Kid A 2000 and Amnesiac 2000. The final track, True Love Waits, would not be released on a studio album until A Moon Shaped Pool 2016 unlike the studio version, singer Thom Yorke performs it on acoustic guitar. For their third release in 13 months, Radiohead let loose a mini-album of live material culled from four European dates and slapped them together into their standard excellent packaging adorned with manic drawings, scribbles, and text excerpts. I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings, originally scheduled as a single for I Might Be Wrong, is precisely what the title implies, a compilation of recordings and not a live album at all. Love this live album. give award. I just wish they recorded those different versions in the studio. Their live performances are so good, but I just can't ignore stuff like audience noise and suboptimal mixing from it being a live recording. Like most Radiohead shows, I Might Be Wrong opens with The National Anthem. The song's introduction, with Thom Yorke breathing in staccato over Colin Greenwood's thunderous bassline and Jonny Greenwood's skillful manipulation of the primitive Ondes-Martenot, is absolutely wonderful. Without a horn section, though, the song never really develops as it does on Kid A, trailing off without a satisfying conclusion. And although I Might Be Wrong is obnoxiously incomplete, the fact remains that Thom Yorke just got 100,000 people to spend for eight songs. Good for him
