Notes

As a triangular hype sticker on the sleeve shrinkwrap indicates "Includes Free Single - Limited Edition", this is one of the first 10,000 pressings with an additional 7", housed in a plain dark-orange/red sleeve (the sleeve is unpunched, top-opening with thumb-cutout on top back edge, glue-tab side).

(Note: The cover sticker from shrinkwrap may have been discarded when acquiring 2nd-hand issues. Also, it was not always applied accurately to top-left corner.)

Track C recorded live, 'The Nashville', 10 Dec 1976.

The Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus review: A well crafted debut album that is drenched in attitude, most of it bad, cranium splitting bass lines, brilliant song writing and eh chauvinism. Review Summary: A well crafted debut album that is drenched in attitude, most of it bad, cranium splitting bass lines, brilliant song writing and eh chauvinism. Dark, edgy, angular, masculine and very confrontational. The Stranglers were always outsiders in the UK punk scene this was mainly attributed to the members age and use of a keyboard an instrument considered highly unfashionable in the late 70s.
